Heidi Keller : President/Founder |
After 5 years in New York City, in 2004 Keller moved to Las Vegas and prompty crafted
an idea: a way for people to make new friends in a fun, non-threatening, no pressure
environment. She built upon her loves and experiences which include marketing, public
relations, party planning, and social networking. As a result, Get Out! Las Vegas was
born.
Since September of 2004, GO! LV has seen tremendous growth but there are already too
many success stories to count. Marriages, engagements, new roommates and new lifelong
friendships are just some of the stories you'll hear from current and former members.
Some members will even brag of doing things that they never thought they'd do or places
they'd go. Skydiving, jet skiing, learning to snow ski or snowboard or rock climbing is
just the beginning. They've also learned about this great city we live in by attending
various art installations, giving back to the community through philanthropic experiences
or by visiting the various restaurants, etc all over the city. Most importantly, they'll
say they found a real community where they belong which is not such an easy task in this
day and age.
Previously, Keller was the product placement public relations manager of Adidas America,
where she fostered successful working relationships and friendships with the notoriously
difficult New York fashion media. Monthly editorial placement of Adidas product was not
unusual in publications such as Vogue, Elle, GQ, and Cosmo despite being an athletic, not
fashion, brand. Before that, she got her feet wet in fashion and event PR at Macy's as
publicity manager for the New York metro area. As an on-camera spokesperson and main publicist
for the metro area, she helped spread the word about seasonal trends and where to buy them:
from Back-to-School to Spring/Fall fashions. Her event experience came in the form of weekly
in-store celebrity or fashion events up to the world's largest 4th of July fireworks display,
the Macy's Fireworks Spectacular, as well as the world's most famous parade, the Macy's
Thanksgiving Day Parade. Her career was launched, however, at the famed PMK Public Relations
Agency in Los Angeles under the tutelage of arguably the most famous celebrity publicist in the
world, Founder/Partner Pat Kingsley and Vice President, Jennifer Allen. Keller worked with such
stars as Tom Cruise, Jodie Foster, Matt Damon and Lisa Kudrow, to name a few, as well as corporate
clients like Las Vegas' Hard Rock Hotel & Casino and Ron Howard/Brian Grazer's Imagine Entertainment.
Her coolest honor to date? She was hand-picked to receive the 2007 '40 Under 40' Award from In Business
Las Vegas which represents Las Vegas' top, influential & up-and-coming business people. She is a
graduate of California State University, Northridge where she earned a Bachelor's degree in Sociology.
She grew up in Northern California and West Texas and after all of her travels, can now say that this
is her favorite city!
